Empanada Republic was created from our family’s love of food, culture, travel, and bringing people together around the table.

​

We are a family of four — Clem, Ian, William, and Oliver plus Waffles, our dog and unofficial taste tester. Over the years, we’ve traveled to different parts of the world and one thing always stood out to us: some of the best memories in life happen around food. Sitting with family and friends, discovering new flavours, learning about different cultures, and sharing meals together became something we deeply loved.

While living in New York City, we discovered a small empanada shop that inspired us in a special way. We loved that one simple food could hold flavours from so many different cultures. One person could enjoy something inspired by Mexico, another Italy, another Asia all sharing the same experience through an empanada.

That idea stayed with us.

Today, Empanada Republic brings together the flavours, cultures, and experiences we’ve fallen in love with throughout our travels and our lives together as a family. Every empanada is handcrafted to feel comforting, exciting, and full of personality.

Our dream is to create a place where different cultures feel united through food. That’s why we say “Flavours Without Borders” because each empanada represents a different culture, different traditions, and different flavours, all coming together in one simple, comforting food meant to be shared.

More than anything, we hope our food creates connection because great flavours, like great people, have no borders.
